The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I discovered behind its walls was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The State of the Venue : Grimy and Neglected Beyond Belief
From the moment I entered , it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of decaying beverages and uncleaned toilets polluted the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and a sickly smell. The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and refuse that looked like it had been ignored for a long time .
